Private Maurice "Tommy" Turner, #362

Private Maurice T. Turner, badge #362, was the 91st fireman to die in the line of duty with the District of Columbia Fire Department and was the first member of Engine Company 16 to be lost. On June 26, 1971 Private Turner was operating on the scene of a 4 alarm blaze at box 298, 472 L Street NW when he was struck and killed by debris from a sudden wall collapse.
